Therese “Tez” Bryars, RN, BSN, LNCC, is the driving force behind Just in Case, LLC, and a passionate advocate for the professional development of Legal Nurse Consultants (LNCs). A lifelong resident of New Orleans, LA, Tez combines over 25 years of diverse clinical nursing experience with a deep commitment to mentorship and education.
A Diverse Clinical Background
Tez earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Loyola University of New Orleans. Throughout her illustrious career, she has amassed extensive experience in various nursing specialties, including:

- Physician Office Management
This rich clinical background equips Tez with a comprehensive understanding of the healthcare field, enabling her to provide invaluable insights and guidance to aspiring LNCs.
Legal Nurse Consulting Expertise
Tez began her journey in legal nurse consulting by providing contract services to attorneys in independent practice. She later worked as a legal nurse consultant for large defense firms for 20 years, honing her skills in medical record review and case analysis. To extend her expertise to a broader audience, Tez established Just in Case, LLC, focusing on delivering high-quality work products and detailed medical record analysis to both defense and plaintiff attorneys.
Professional Leadership and Mentorship
Tez’s dedication to mentorship is at the heart of her professional mission. Recognizing the need for support and guidance among new and aspiring LNCs, she developed comprehensive coaching and mentoring programs designed to:
- Empower nurses to transition successfully into the LNC field
- Enhance the skills of beginning LNCs
- Support LNCs looking to establish their own practices
Tez has played a significant role in the AALNC (American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants) community. She was a mentor in the launch of the AALNC Mentorship Program in 2023, and she has been an active member of the AALNC Certification Board since 2020. Her leadership and commitment to the field are further exemplified by her position as Chair of the AALNC Certification Board for 2023-2024.
The Legal Nurse Consultant Mastery Program
As part of her commitment to mentorship, Tez created the Legal Nurse Consultant Mastery Program. This six-week course offers in-depth training and practical skills essential for success in legal nurse consulting. Participants benefit from:
